After Receiving Your Result
What if I disagree with my authentication result?
You may request clarification directly inside the app. If additional photos are needed, our team will prompt you. In rare cases, a re-evaluation may be conducted internally. Multiple repeat submissions of the same item are not supported.
After Receiving Your Result
Can I authenticate multiple luxury items at once?
Yes. CheckCheck supports batch submissions, especially for high-volume sellers and business accounts. Each item must still include its own complete photo set to ensure accurate review. To gain access to this feature please reach out to sales@getcheckcheck.com
Multiple Items & Bulk Uploads
Can CheckCheck authenticate repaired or refurbished luxury items?
Manufacturer (brand) repairs are often acceptable. However, aftermarket repairs, hardware replacements, repainting, or recoloring may prevent us from reaching a conclusive result and can lead to “Unable to Verify.”
Repairs, Alterations & Condition
Can you authenticate items without serial numbers, microchips, or date codes?
Sometimes. Many brands like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Cartier, and Van Cleef rely on identifiers for traceability. If an expected code, chip, or engraving is missing, damaged, or removed, we may be unable to verify authenticity.
Brand, Serial, and Microchip Questions
Can lighting or shadows affect my luxury authentication result?
Yes. Shadows or low lighting can obscure stitching, serials, logos, and micro-details. For the most accurate result, use bright natural or soft lighting and take close, focused shots of every required angle.
Photo Quality & Requirements
What happens if my photos are too dark, blurry, or missing key angles?
Poor image quality can limit our ability to confirm important brand details like stitching, engravings, stamps, lining, or hardware. If we cannot confidently authenticate the item, you may receive an “Unable to Verify” result and your credits will be automatically returned.
Photo Quality & Requirements
Can a buyer dispute a result using my COA?
No. The guarantee is non-transferable. Only the original submitter can file a dispute.
CheckCheck Guarantee
Does CheckCheck offer a guarantee for luxury authentication?
Yes. Luxury categories are covered under the CheckCheck Guarantee, which allows you to dispute a result under specific conditions. The guarantee generally requires clear photos, the item to remain in similar condition, and that the original user submitted the check. Full terms appear in-app.
CheckCheck Guarantee
Can I transfer a COA to a buyer?
Yes. You can freely share your digital COA link or file with buyers or marketplaces. However, the CheckCheck Guarantee only applies to the original account that submitted the item.
Digital Certificates of Authenticity (COA)
Do you provide a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) for luxury items?
Yes. For PASSED items in supported luxury categories, CheckCheck issues a digital Certificate of Authenticity (COA). This COA includes item metadata, a verification summary, and a secure digital link you can share with buyers. You can access it at any time inside the app or Business Dashboard.
Digital Certificates of Authenticity (COA)
Does choosing a faster SLA (4hr or 8hr) affect accuracy?
No. Whether you choose 4hr, 8hr, 12hr, or 24hr service, your item is reviewed using the same rigorous process and expert standards. Speed only determines priority in the queue — not the quality of your evaluation.
Authentication Results
How long does luxury authentication take with CheckCheck?
CheckCheck offers industry-leading turnaround times for luxury authentication. Depending on your selection, you can choose from 4-hour, 8-hour, 12-hour, or 24-hour review options. Before submitting your item, the app will display the exact estimated completion time for your selected SLA. All service levels use the same authentication standards and accuracy — the only difference is queue priority.
Authentication Results
Are your results 100% guaranteed?
We use strict internal standards, archived references, and trained reviewers often in dual-review to provide highly reliable opinions. However, no authentication service can be 100% perfect, especially using photos only. We aim to be as transparent and consistent as possible.
Authentication Results
Can my result change if I submit another check for the same item?
In the scenario that the initial result was “unable to verify” and the lighting or quality of the submitted images are drastically enhanced on the second go around, CheckCheck may come to a conclusive result (PASS/ NOT PASS).
Authentication Results
Why did my item receive “Unable to Verify”?
Common reasons include:
- Missing required photos or angles - Blurry, dark, or low-resolution images - Extremely counterfeited and high risk item
- Heavy wear or damage hiding key details - Very rare or unusual items with limited reference data
In these cases, credits are typically refunded.
Authentication Results
What does “Unable to Verify” mean?
“Unable to Verify” means we could not confidently confirm authenticity with the information available. This is not the same as deeming the item as inauthentic, it reflects insufficient or limited evidence (e.g., missing angles, poor image quality, or rare models with limited references).
Authentication Results
What does a NOT PASS result mean?
NOT PASS means our reviewers identified one or more details that do not match authentic examples from the brand—such as construction, materials, logos, labels, serials, hardware, or packaging. These points are summarized in your result remarks.
Authentication Results
What does a PASS result mean?
PASS means that, based on the photos and information you provided, our reviewers found no issues and the item is consistent with our verified authentic references for that brand and category.

Why did my accessory or jewelry item get “Unable to Verify”?
Common reasons include:
- Missing or unreadable engravings
- Extreme polishing or repair work
- Small items with un-capturable details
- Insufficient angles
- Rare or limited-edition models without publicly available references
- Very worn stamping or etching
We return “Unable to Verify” when evidence is insufficient not because the item is assumed fake.

Do you authenticate luxury eyewear?
Yes. We review:
- Logos and engravings

Accessories (Belts, Wallets, Small Leather Goods, Sunglasses, etc.)
Can you authenticate accessories sold as part of a set (e.g., earring sets, necklace & bracelet bundles)?
Yes, but each piece must be photographed individually. Sets cannot be authenticated as a group without detailed item-by-item photos.
Accessories (Belts, Wallets, Small Leather Goods, Sunglasses, etc.)
Do you authenticate custom-modified or altered accessories/jewelry?
Items that have been altered (engraved, resized, polished, recolored, or had hardware replaced) may lose critical authenticity cues. In these situations, we may not be able to reach a conclusive result.
Accessories (Belts, Wallets, Small Leather Goods, Sunglasses, etc.)
Can case, pouch, or warranty card photos help with jewelry authentication?
Yes, they can assist, but they are not required and cannot replace photos of the item itself. We rely on the physical details of the jewelry.
Accessories (Belts, Wallets, Small Leather Goods, Sunglasses, etc.)
Do you authenticate items made of fabric, metal, enamel, resin, or mixed materials?
Yes. Many luxury brands incorporate mixed materials into accessories and jewelry. We authenticate based on construction, branding, model design, and production characteristics not material valuation.

These components often contain subtle brand-specific traits that counterfeiters overlook such as hinge construction, clasp alignment, screw type, and engraved placement.
Accessories (Belts, Wallets, Small Leather Goods, Sunglasses, etc.)
Can you authenticate accessories that have been polished or repaired?
It depends. Polishing, resizing, or aftermarket repairs may alter or remove key identifiers such as engravings, solder joints, or hardware details. If brand-signature elements are missing or altered, a conclusive result may not be possible.
